To the Lighthouse…and beyond!

There is something about lighthouses that seems a little unreal to me: the unusual shaped building, the mystery of the lone keeper, its association with thunderstorms and waves crashing on rocks; they have always made the concept of lighthouses seem fairytale like in my mind. To the point where there was still a tiny part of me that doubted their actual existence, that is until last weekend, when I finally saw and walked around one. This one has a very industrial feel to it, almost post apocalyptic, and would have looked quite sinister, had it not been for the gloriously bright red horn.

And then I found some bees to play with… I love seeing the intricate detail of their wings and covered in pollen!
