Photoshop Tip 1: A Dash of Colour in a B/W photo

Tip 1: ADDING COLOUR TO SECTIONS OF A BLACK & WHITE PHOTO

You will need an original colour photo for this process.

There are several ways to do this but a simple basic method is this one:

Step 1: Open your image in Photoshop and go to Images – Adjustments – Desaturate

Step 2: Using the History Brush Tool, colour in the sections you wish

Voila!

NB: For tricky outlines zoom in as far as you can for a more polished finish.
